Lots-A-Loot, what a hoot!—offering twice the fun with two versions to choose from. This is one of the Progressive Jackpot Slots games from Microgaming. It features good solid slots play with the requisite jackpot to keep you coming back.

The original version is a three reel traditional slot game with five paylines. The five lines are three across and two diagonally from corner to corner. You can bet up to five coins, one per line. Each coin you bet activates a line. The symbols are just sevens and bars. The only other symbol is the Lots-A-Loot wild symbol.

This symbol is wild for all other symbols and completes winning combinations. It is also a multiplyer and doubles the value of the win wherever it appears. If two appear in a winning line, the multiplier is four, and so-on. When three of the symbols show up on the fifth paylineyou’ve hit the jackpot. You’ll need to have bet all five coins to have the fifth line active and be a jackpot winner, so make sure you’re betting max when you play.

The coin size on the three reel version is locked in at .50, so a jackpot winning spin will cost you $2.50.

The second version of the game is the five reel, twenty-five payline video slot game. The game boasts one of the highest hit rates in the Microgamming lineup. With a .10 fixed coin size, the maximum bet of 25 coins still costs the same $2.50. Predictably, the jackpot winning combination is five Lots-A-Loot symbols on the 25th payline. The video version is a lot more colorful than the original version. There are added symbols of Jacks, Queens and Lucky Green Clovers. There’s a wild symbol and even a pot of gold.

Players of both games at any of the dozens of casinos that offer Lots-A-Loot contribute to the steadily rising jackpot total with each spin. The accumulating dollars attract many players as they rise and the high hit rates of the games keep them playing.

Lots-A-Loot jackpots range from as "little" as $4,000 to as much as $100,000. What I like about this one is that there are more than just a handful of winners each month. In just one month, (April 2006) there were 21 winners who won a total of $496,998. Gail G won a whopping $67,116 at All Slots Casino that month.
